Apache Junction Delivery at the Foot of the Superstitions

Apache Junction is where the metro ends and the Superstition Mountains begin, about 40 miles east of downtown Phoenix on the US-60 Superstition Freeway. We deliver across town, out toward the Lost Dutchman State Park side of the Apache Trail, and east to Gold Canyon. The car comes to your home, vacation rental, or hotel, and nothing has to be collected at a counter.

The Apache Trail, Done Right

The drive most visitors come for starts at the Idaho Road exit off US-60 and follows SR 88 northeast. Goldfield Ghost Town is about 4 miles in, Lost Dutchman State Park just beyond it, Canyon Lake around 15 miles, and Tortilla Flat at about 18. That stretch is paved two-lane highway and suits a convertible well. Past Tortilla Flat, SR 88 turns into a steep, narrow, unpaved grade over Fish Creek Hill, and ADOT recommends high-clearance 4WD there. So we plan exotic-car drives as far as Tortilla Flat and back. Check az511.gov before you go: SR 88 closes after heavy monsoon rain, as it did in July 2026.

When to Plan an Apache Junction Drive

  • Arizona Renaissance Festival weekends in Gold Canyon, 7 miles east on US-60. The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays from late January through March (the 2026 season was Jan 31 – Mar 29)
  • October through April, when Apache Trail temperatures are most comfortable
  • Sunset at Lost Dutchman State Park, with the Superstitions going gold behind the park

Arriving

Sky Harbor is a little under 40 miles west on US-60. Send your flight details and we time the handoff. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway (AZA) is the closer airport for many East Valley arrivals.

Apache Junction FAQs

Can I drive the whole Apache Trail in an exotic car?
Drive the paved section: through Goldfield, past Canyon Lake, to Tortilla Flat. Beyond Tortilla Flat, SR 88 is unpaved and primitive, and ADOT recommends high-clearance 4WD there.

What is the minimum age?
25+ for exotic and ultra-luxury vehicles. 21+ for standard luxury vehicles. Valid U.S. or Canadian license required; international guests need an International Driver’s Permit or certified translation as noted on our FAQs.

What insurance do I need?
Full coverage comprehensive and collision is all that is needed.

Nearby

Delivery is also available in Mesa, Queen Creek, and Gilbert, plus Scottsdale and Phoenix. Full list: Areas We Serve.

Plan Your Apache Junction Dates

Renaissance Festival weekends and cool-season Saturdays on the Apache Trail are the popular days out here. Send your date, where you’re staying (Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, or elsewhere in the East Valley), and your arrival airport. Then choose one of the cars above and set your dates there. Delivery is available throughout Apache Junction. If Canyon Lake or Tortilla Flat is on the plan, say so and we’ll time the handoff for an early start.
