BY APEX EXOTIC RENTALS

Supercar Rental Scottsdale

January in Scottsdale belongs to the collector car. Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2027 returns to WestWorld of Scottsdale from January 23 to 31, and for the first time the flagship auction runs nine full days of live bidding.

For a week and a little more, north Scottsdale becomes a gathering point for people who care about how a car is built, kept and driven. Whether you are flying in for the docket or simply driving up from Phoenix, a little planning goes a long way. What follows is a quiet, practical guide: the dates, the grounds, how to plan your days, and the car you arrive in. Apex Exotic Rentals is a few minutes from WestWorld, and Barrett-Jackson week is one we look forward to all year.

Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2027 at a Glance

  • Dates: Saturday, January 23, through Sunday, January 31, 2027
  • Venue: WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 North Pima Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
  • Gates: 8:00 a.m. daily, open through the close of each day’s auction
  • Auction: generally begins around 10:00 a.m. and continues until the day’s final vehicle has crossed the block
  • Tickets and docket: available through barrett-jackson.com

Barrett-Jackson also notes that the venue stays open for an hour after the last vehicle crosses each day, so there is no need to rush for the exit once the final gavel falls.

What’s New for 2027: Nine Days, Two Weekends

The schedule has grown. For 2027, Barrett-Jackson has expanded its Scottsdale auction to nine days of live bidding, with vehicles crossing the block from opening Saturday through the following Sunday. The practical result is breathing room: two full weekends, with a run of weekdays in between.

Beyond the arena, Barrett-Jackson describes more than 2,000 collector vehicles on display, a festival of food, a vast exhibitor marketplace, interactive sponsor displays and thrill rides. That is a great deal to take in over a single afternoon. With nine days on the calendar, there is no reason to try.

Planning Your Days at WestWorld

Choosing your days

Opening weekend carries the energy of the first gavel and the full sweep of the grounds. The weekdays in the middle of the run often suit those who prefer to walk the display halls at an easier pace and linger over the details. The second weekend brings the auction to its close, and with it a sense of occasion all its own.

If one particular car has drawn you to Scottsdale, the docket will choose your dates for you. Lots cross the block in numerical order, and once the docket is published it shows the day each vehicle is scheduled to run. Check it before you settle your travel.

Tickets, docket and run sheets

Tickets are sold through Barrett-Jackson’s official box office on AXS, linked from barrett-jackson.com. Each morning of the auction, run sheets are posted throughout the grounds with an estimated time for every lot on that day’s schedule, which makes it far easier to plan lunch, a walk through the marketplace, or a return trip in the evening. The Barrett-Jackson app carries the event schedule as well, and lets you add favorite lots to a personal “garage” to follow their selling times.

  • Review the docket before you finalize flights and hotel nights.
  • Download the Barrett-Jackson app, available on the App Store and Google Play, and save the lots you care about.
  • Arrive near the 8:00 a.m. gates if you would like time with the display halls before bidding begins.
  • Allow for long days. Each session continues until the last scheduled vehicle has crossed the block.

Getting to WestWorld of Scottsdale

WestWorld sits in north Scottsdale along Pima Road, a few minutes from our location at 14982 N 83rd Pl. Many visitors stay at Scottsdale’s resorts for the week. Others fly in through Phoenix Sky Harbor or Scottsdale Airport and head north from there.

Arriving in your own car gives you command of the day. Come for the gates at eight, slip away for a long lunch, and return for the evening lots. Or stay until the final vehicle crosses and drive home without waiting in a rideshare line at close. Barrett-Jackson offers plenty of complimentary public parking, with shuttles running to and from the main gate, and valet parking is available for a fee.

The Car You Arrive In

At Barrett-Jackson, the parking area is part of the show. You are among people who notice proportions, sound and the quality of a finish. The right car is less about making an entrance than about feeling entirely at home in that company.

Think, too, about the shape of your week. A single day at the auction suits something spirited and personal. Several days with guests, luggage and dinner reservations call for space and quiet. Some prefer to split the difference, with one car for the auction days and another for the evenings.

For the auction crowd: a supercar or a grand tourer

The Ferrari 488 GTB is a natural companion for the week. A mid-engine twin-turbo V8 and a low, purposeful coupe profile suit a clear January afternoon in the desert, and the drive along Pima Road to WestWorld is short enough to enjoy without hurrying.

For something different, our supercar collection brings together the most spirited cars in our fleet.

For hosting clients or family: quiet presence

When the day includes guests, comfort matters as much as presence. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan arrives with calm authority and room to talk on the way in. The Cadillac Escalade offers three rows and space for a group heading to the grounds together.

Beyond the Block: A January Drive in Scottsdale

Barrett-Jackson fills the days, but the mornings and evenings are yours. January in the Valley brings mild, clear days and cool desert evenings, the kind of weather that makes a long drive feel like part of the trip rather than simply a way to get somewhere.

Morning: along the McDowells

Before the gates open, the roads north and east of WestWorld are quiet. A loop along the edge of the McDowell Mountains, with the Sonoran Desert running out on either side, is an unhurried way to settle into the car before a full day on the grounds. Keep it gentle, keep the windows down, and arrive with the morning light still low across the arena.

Evening: Old Town, Paradise Valley and the resorts

After the final lots, Old Town Scottsdale is an easy drive south for dinner, and the resorts along the way make a fine place to end the day. If you have an afternoon free between sessions, our notes on a Paradise Valley drive and golden-hour desert drives near Scottsdale offer a few routes worth the detour, all of them close to home.

However you spend the hours around the auction, the point is the same: in Scottsdale in January, the drive is part of the occasion.

Arizona Pickup and Delivery

Every rental begins and ends in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. Collect your car from our Scottsdale location, or arrange delivery across the Phoenix metro, including Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), Scottsdale Airport (SDL), and the area’s major resorts and hotels.

Rentals stay in Arizona. It is a simple policy, and in January there is little reason to go further. Everything the week asks for, from the auction grounds to the desert roads and the dinner table, sits within easy reach of Scottsdale.

A few details are worth having in hand before you reserve. For exotic vehicles, including Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren, the minimum age is 25, and full-coverage auto insurance is required. Our FAQs cover the rest.

Reserving for Barrett-Jackson Week

January is the height of the Scottsdale season, and Barrett-Jackson week brings visitors from across the country. Reaching out early gives you the widest choice of cars and the dates that suit your docket.

It also leaves time to arrange the details that make the week effortless: where the car should meet you, when it should be ready, and how you would like the handover to go at the end of your stay.
